When you decide to start a restoration project, one very important step is the paint and rust removal. Our process saves you countless hours and delivers better results than any mechanical method, including sandblasting. By immersing the body parts in our tanks you can be assured that the entire panel is being cleaned and conditioned.
Paint Stripping & Degreasing: Our metal cleaning process offers a complete paint removal service without pitting or warping. Each steel part is completely submerged in our hot caustic bath, ensuring contact with hidden areas such as seams and rolled edges. This process also removes grease, dirt, oil, etc.
Rust Removal: After the steel parts are free of paint, grease and dirt, only the rust remains to be removed. Our cold bath removes rust from wherever the solution touches. Because the part is fully immersed in the bath, every inch is cleaned. Damage from the rust, whether detected or undetected, will now be exposed and ready for repair.
Rust Inhibitor: The final process is to neutralize and seal the metal with a water based organic rust inhibitor to reduce flash rusting of parts. This is a temporary sealer and is friendly to painting or powder coating.
