If there is any doubt about our process working or not we recommend doing a "Test Dip" on a small piece. This we show us what the outcome of dipping will be on your project before bringing the entire car to us.

All pre 1972 lacquer automotive paints.
With the one exception of Mopar products from 1964 forward.
We dipped a 1978 Ford Pickup cab with original paint and stipped if fine.
Our basic rule of thumb is anything newer then early 1070's we my not be able to remove.
Due to the infinite number of variables we never really know what the out come will be on any part.

This is a great example of a vehicle much newer than 1970 coming totally clean.
We did a "test dip" on some gas doors off this truck for the customer before he brought the cab down from Olympia, Washington.

Gas doors are one of the most commen pieces we test dip.
Here is a same of something with new paints. A Suzuki motorcycle gas tank.
We are always very up front with customers that our process might not fully remove the paint.
He was still very please because it did fully cleaned the inside and took care of the rust.
Here is another great example of how newer paints will not come off in our process.
A Kawasaki gas tank.
Very few customer bring us newer car parts or older parts with newer paints on them.
Gas tanks are the one thing we dip often that do not come clean.
Mainly due to the need for the cleaning of the entire inside and rust issues.
Bondo is something that can be removed in our process.
However, we cannot guarantee it will remove it or all of it.
Most of the time if it's thinner it will be mostly if not completely removed.
Many times much of the remaining bondo dries, cracks, and brakes apart afterwards.
